Feeding Therapy

Feeding Therapy starts with a comprehensive feeding and oral-motor evaluation. We look at the whole child when assessing and developing treatment plans. We do not use one approach, rather we take in individualized approach uses many different strategies.


Signs one may benefit from Feeding therapy:

  • Difficulty with breastfeeding or bottle feeding

  • Infants transitioning to solids

  • Transitioning to different textures

  • Limited diet

  • Difficulty gaining weight

  • Eats only certain textures, such as soft food or crunchy food

  • Takes a long time to eat

  • Difficulty chewing and/or swallowing

  • Coughs and/or gags while eating or drinking

  • Drooling and/or liquid coming out of mouth
